
🛂 Do I need a visa to visit Socotra?
Yes. All international travelers need a Socotra visa, which we arrange for you. The visa is a separate document (no passport stamp) and is valid only for Socotra Island.
✈️ How do I get to Socotra Island?
The only way is via a charter flight from Abu Dhabi (UAE), operated by Air Arabia. Flights usually run Tuesdays and Fridays (sometimes Sundays in peak season). Tickets can’t be booked online — we secure them for you once you confirm your dates and send us your passport copy. Learn more in our guide on how to book your Socotra flight.
🗓️ What is the best time to visit Socotra?
The travel season runs from October to May.
- Oct–Nov → Lush green landscapes after the rains.
- Dec–Feb → Cooler weather, perfect for hiking.
- Mar–May → Warm, calm seas, ideal for snorkeling and boat trips.

🏕️ Where will I stay during my Socotra tour?
Accommodation is mostly private camping in nature (we provide tents, mattresses, pillows, and covers). On the last night, you can stay at Summer Land Hotel in Hadibo or continue camping if you prefer.

🍽️ What about food and dietary needs?
All meals are included: 3 meals per day + drinks. We provide traditional Yemeni dishes, fresh fish, chicken, rice, vegetables, and fruit. Special diets (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies, etc.) are fully accommodated — just let us know in advance.

🏊 Can I snorkel or dive in Socotra?
Yes! The best snorkeling spot is Dihamri Marine Reserve, where you’ll see colorful corals and tropical fish. Diving is optional and can be arranged for an extra fee ($100 shore dive / $150 boat dive). Snorkeling gear can be rented on the island, or you can bring your own.

📶 Is there internet or mobile signal on Socotra?
Mobile signal is limited and internet is very weak outside of Hadibo (the main town). We recommend informing family and friends in advance and enjoying a true digital detox.
🐪 Is Socotra safe for travelers?
Yes ✅. Socotra is isolated from mainland Yemen and is considered one of the safest destinations in the region. Locals are welcoming and tourism is carefully managed.
